I started my company over 10 years ago. Like most entrepreneurs, you have a personal experience where you can't find a solution, so you create your own or decide to start up your own retail store. As a women-owned business, I will share my insights and the challenges I faced. Here are some of the topics I will cover. Whether you are the manufacturer or the store owner, you will face many of the same challenges as you grow.
1. Building a brand: the challenges and cost associated with it.
2. Trademarks or Patents: This can be expensive so is it worth it?
3. Marketing: With a limited budget how do you get the word out?
4. Supply chain: Where do you get supply or who is going to manufacture your product?
5. Work life balance.
6: Sustainability
7: Access to capital to grow. Overall, you need to be able to evolve and grow to meet the constantly changing market.
My presentation will go over all these challenges and what it takes to drive to success. I will target women owned and minority businesses and the tools available to help them succeed.
